Licensed Practical Nurse

Promotes health and healing by functioning as a member of the care team to provide optimum care for convalescent, acutely/chronically ill, home care and long-term care clients/patients/residents.

Required Qualifications

• Licensed with the Saskatchewan Association of Licensed Practical Nurses
• Practical Nursing Diploma

• Interpersonal skills
• Valid drivers license, where required by the job
• Organizational skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
• Communication skills

Graduate Licensed Practical Nurses will be considered eligible applicants for Licensed Practical Nurse postings. Graduate Licensed Practical Nurse applicants awarded a position by seniority will have their date of commencement in the Licensed Practical Nurse position aligned with the date on which they are granted a full practicing license with SALPN.

The successful candidate is responsible to obtain and provide an original Criminal Record Check (CRC) & Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) from their local police service, RCMP or previous country/countries of residence that is dated within the past six (6) months that is satisfactory to the Saskatchewan Health Authority. Internal candidates may be required to provide a CRC & VSC during recruitment and selection process.
