True Key Hotels & Resorts proudly manages Nootka Marine Adventures at the Moutcha Bay Resort, located at the mouth of the Conuma River just 40 minutes west of Gold River, in the beautiful sheltered waters of Nootka Sound, BC. It is easily accessible by car, float plane or boat. Moutcha Bay Resort provides a unique collection of wilderness accommodation, adventure products and services not otherwise found in our region, such as guided fishing, wildlife tours, kayak tours, boat & equipment rentals, and an onsite full-service restaurant. Visitors find the drive with the beautiful lake and forest scenery an added bonus.

Line Cooks are part of our dynamic Culinary Team and are integral to delivering an exceptional guest experience. This position requires a motivated team player with a commitment to high culinary standards, sanitation standards, respectful communication and professionalism. You can expect a fun, fast paced work environment on our beautiful and wild west coast.

This position is available for Moutcha Bay Resort.

Anticipated start date: May 15th - June 30th
Anticipated end date: August 31st - September 30th

The position requirements include and are not limited to:

• A service driven individual dedicated to the guest experience and cleanliness
• An attention to detail and a commitment to safety, sanitation, and professionalism
• Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
  
• Physical ability to lift 30lbs
• Physical ability to work while walking and standing for prolonged periods
• Proven cooking experience in a commercial kitchen, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Food Safe Level 1
• Degree in Culinary Science or related certificate strongly preferred

Responsibilities, include but not limited to:

• Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
• Take instructions and mentorship from our Head Chef
• Maintain the sanitation and cleanliness of your work station, kitchen, fridge, freezers, and dry storage
• Participate in our Day Mark Running Clean program
• Meet and exceed Canada Food Inspection Agency's food handling and sanitation standards
  
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests.
