Manager, Global IT Infrastructure and Security

CHC has a current opportunity for a Manager, Global IT Infrastructure and Security position based in BC Operations, Canada. Reporting to the Director of Global IT, this role will have overall accountabilities to ensure stable and secured operations of the organization’s Information Technology landscape. This position will lead and drive global infrastructure and security initiatives whilst collaborating with Regional IT teams to ensure the IT environments are harmonized and optimized across all regions.

  • Manage the Data Centre in North America, drive and participate in strategic planning around Global Data Centres.
  • Develop and implement corporate IT and information security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Manage the implementation, maintenance, upgrade and support of systems and core infrastructure technology.
  • Work within global standards for all data center equipment which includes switches, server hardware, network, virtualization, redundancy, disaster recovery and backup strategy.
  • Key enterprise focal point for computer security incident response planning and execution.
  • Oversee programs for user awareness, compliance monitoring, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage all global security systems and their corresponding or associated software including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, cryptography systems, anti-virus and auditing software.
  • Assist internal audit in the development of appropriate criteria needed to assess the level of new/existing applications and/or technology infrastructure elements for compliance with enterprise security standards.
  • Work with Stakeholders to define business requirements for new technology implementations.
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for spending and initiatives for regional IT Infrastructure.
  • Participation in negotiating and administering vendor, consultant contracts and service agreements.
  • Maintain service level agreement terms with business units and issue regular reports to IT management on performance metrics.
