Role Summary

  • Conveys work in process (WIP), components, packaging and finished good (FG) product between various stations with a fork truck.
  • Ensures inventory is accurate and/or any discrepancies are reported.
  • Ensure packaging is made available for Unracking process.
  • Ensure molded product is available to the racking process in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide support to convey full and empty packaging for Molding Dept.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate forklift to move materials from one area to another in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Observe standard for safe working conditions as outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act as well as rules and regulations outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Maintain familiarization with all parts and packaging.
  • Perform inventory counts as required.
  • Provides proper empty packaging to unracking area in timely manner.
  • Pack/Repack product as required (partial consolidation, packaging changes).
  • Stage product for conveyance at the shipping area.
  • Provide molded product to Racking area in a timely manner.
  • Conduct forklift inspections.
  • Organize, clean and maintain 5S principles of general work area (including outside)
  • Follows direction and work instructions as required.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as required.
  • Perform operator duties, as required.
  • Comply with all Rollstamp Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all Rollstamp IATF 16949 policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all Rollstamp ISO14001 policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other reasonable request by management

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift license
  • 1-2 years manufacturing forklift operation experience, preferably in an automotive environment.
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Trans4M or another inventory system, must be able to print production labels.
  • Must be physically fit with excellent dexterity, must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to safely move around plating dolly’s and a fully loaded pump truck.
  • Must have good dexterity and be physically fit.
  • Strong English communication skills are required, both written and oral.
  • Basic computer skills required.

  • Must have strong organizational skills
