As a Methods Manager, you will need to provide leadership and direction to the staff within his team. Ensure compliance with engineering processes to deliver high-quality designs that meet the customer's schedule and expectations.

Technical Services is looking for a dynamic person who prefers teamwork to the position of Methods Unit Leader.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide leadership and direction to staff within its team. Ensure compliance with engineering processes to provide high-quality designs that meet the customer's schedule and expectations;
  • Stay in close contact with staff about the state of their work. Tracks their progress and meets budgeted hours through task planning. Develops action plans and coordinates resources to respond to or solve problems as needed;
  • Ensure that the team is focused on meeting financial requirements, the schedule and the use of the best techniques for the projects for which they are responsible;
  • Develop team members to reach their full potential and maximum contributions. Creates and implements forecasts for skills improvement, motivation and employee engagement. Management and development of relevant skills (planning, performance management, career development, succession planning and recruitment);
  • Optimize communication and customer relationships and other functions. Continuous optimization of processes/tools/behaviours taking into account business requirements, customer needs, technical innovations and new market conditions.

Key requirements:

Functional knowledge;

  • Bachelor or DEC in mechanical engineering or equivalent;
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Perfect mastery of French and English;
  • Management experience in manufacturing;

Technical skills

  • Excellent communicator and team worker;
  • Available to travel;
  • Knowledge of the Office Suite;
  • Welding knowledge is an asset;
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English.
