Nasittuq is currently bidding on the contract for the Operation & Maintenance of the North Warning System (NWS). The NWS is a joint Canada and United States early-warning radar system with 47 sites located in Northern Canada; a Control Centre and Support Centre located in North Bay, ON and a Contract Management Office located in Ottawa, ON.

This job posting is being advertised in advance of award of a contract. Employment is contingent upon Nasittuq being awarded the contract.

Responsibilities:

The Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for identifying risks and threats, protection of information and assets, detection and monitoring of events and anomalies, and response to and recovery from cyber events.

  • Monitor computer networks for security events or threats
  • Investigate security breaches and other cyber security incidents
  • Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs
  • Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause
  • Work with security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities
  • Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high security standard
  • Stay up to date on information technology and trends and security standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
  • Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) designation or equivalent experience
  • Five (5) years’ experience in cybersecurity, information technology, cybersecurity, and risk management for military operational systems
  • Experience in performing Security Assessment & Accreditation of military operational systems to obtain Authority to Operate
  • Adaptability and ability to manage priorities with attention to detail and work cross-culturally
  • Computer literate in MS applications, strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Candidates must be Canadian citizens, be eligible and maintain Level (II) SECRET security clearance.
