Nasittuq is currently bidding on the contract for the Operation & Maintenance of the North Warning System (NWS). The NWS is a joint Canada and United States early-warning radar system with 47 sites located in Northern Canada; a Control Centre and Support Centre located in North Bay, ON and a Contract Management Office located in Ottawa, ON.

This job posting is being advertised in advance of award of a contract. Employment is contingent upon Nasittuq being awarded the contract.

Responsibilities:

The Mobile Support Equipment (MSE) Fleet Manager will be responsible for the life cycle management of all NWS MSE.

  • Establish, review and update preventive maintenance and inspection standards for the MSE fleet
  • Perform trend analysis and Life Cycle Material (LCM) on the MSE Fleet and make recommendations on replacements
  • Establish, review and make recommendations to sparing levels to limit downtime of equipment
  • Provide technical support/advise to field level vehicle mechanics
  • Manage and monitor spending for all MSE equipment, spares and consumables

Qualifications:

  • Three to five (3-5) years demonstrated experience in the cycle management of equipment fleets.
  • Adaptability and ability to manage priorities with attention to detail and work cross-culturally.
  • Computer literate in MS applications, strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidates must be Canadian citizens, be eligible and maintain Level (II) SECRET security clearance.
