Role Accountabilities :

  • Supporting the Employee Services Team, the Office & Payroll Administrator will be focused on two key areas – Payroll Processing & Management, Time & Attendance analysis and reporting, Benefits Administration and Office Support;
  • Payroll Services Support
  • Processing payroll, which includes ensuring vacation and sick time are tracked in the system
  • Primarily accountable in management and resolution of payroll questions
  • Benefits (Blue Cross) management including enrollment, maintenance and processing including RSP registration, WCB, STD, LDT administration and management with Benefit provider
  • Vacation renewal, set up and reporting including Time reconciliation analysis between Connect-Wise & Payworks
  • Payworks (HRIS) system administrator

Employee Services & Office Support

  • Be the first point of contact for all employee inquiries specific to end-to-end HR processes and administration, employee working conditions, time & attendance and office support
  • Work with Employee Service Team in triaging and managing centralized inbox and providing resolution for Answering employee questions
  • Maintenance of Employee Services Sharepoint site
  • Support onboarding, cross-boarding & off-boarding activities
  • Support employee engagement activities & projects
  • Support operational office activities as assigned

Critical Competencies:

  • Adept problem-solver, including the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees and people leaders
  • Effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze information
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently
  • Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
  • Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance

Technical Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end HR processes focused in areas of Payroll, Time Management, Admin Management
  • Proficient in MS Office with special focus on MS Sharepoint, Powerpoint, Excel & Word
  • Exposure to HRIS (Payworks or similar) & Ticketing System (Connect-Wise) will be an asset
  • Post-secondary education related to Business Degree, HR Certification or CPHR designation; or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
