Job Description :
In line with the firm’s strategic plan, the office director will be responsible for applying and deploying the plan that outlines the strategic and operational objectives of the Mont-Saint-Hilaire office. By being a positive leader, the incumbent will also have the exceptional opportunity to lead, engage and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team of over 350 experienced professionals. The incumbent will also ensure the growth of the firm’s operating activities and manage human and financial resources.

More specifically, the Office Director will:

Translate general strategies into specific objectives and operational plans.
Encourage ingenuity, the search for creative solutions and innovation to improve corporate business practices.
Participate in building business relationships with the firm’s clients.
Consult other stakeholders to understand the impacts and issues decisions will entail.
Establish yearly budgetary estimates for the office.
Lead office activities under the firm’s values and culture.
Mentor and manage teams of professionals toward common goals.
Optimize team operational efficiency.
Assess performance by using key performance indicators.
Ensure that the highest occupational health and safety standards are implemented and applied based on the firm’s expectations.
Rigorously carry out assigned health and safety roles and responsibilities.
Help employees develop technical knowledge and skills.
Attract, recruit and train the most talented candidates.
Achieve collaboration objectives with other offices, teams and departments, both regionally and nationally.
Be an ambassador of the firm’s values, promote them and lead by example.
Ensure policies, operational processes and engineering practices are applied based on BBA quality standards.
Work with department managers to inform them of key operational parameters, guide them and hold them accountable for their assigned missions.
Applies the firm’s health and safety policy and takes the necessary preventive or corrective measures to perform the work safely; becomes familiar with the firm’s prevention program; and applies specific job directives.
Ensures that each office fulfils its health, safety and environment (HSE) responsibilities and obligations in accordance with applicable provincial laws and regulations and in compliance with the firms HSE policy.
Meticulously carries out assigned roles and responsibilities in accordance with established health and safety directives.

Requirements :
University engineering degree or diploma in a relevant study program.
Fifteen years of relevant experience, particularly in a consulting engineering firm.
Experience in team engagement and management.

Experience in organizational development and managing multidisciplinary work teams.
