GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Analyst, Collateral/Banking and Client Support is accountable for ensuring complete and timely processing as well support approx. 30 CDCC Members members in areas such as:
? Margin and collateral management; Cash Collateral management
? LVTS Large Value Transfer System for the industry
? Provides ongoing client engagement for Option expiry; and
? Client Reporting

Key Accountabilities

  • Central point of contact for clients, and ongoing client engagement to ensure client needs are met and solutions are provided
  • Provide high level knowledge of technical and analytical expertise regarding Collateral/Banking/Settlements
  • Ensure industry meets Collateral Requirements to satisfy margin calls
  • Ensure full Cash Reconciliation with Bank of Canada and settlement Banks
  • Ensure successful completion of end of day net settlement (Payment Exchange for the industry)
  • Provide support for the MX Exchange with client trade corrections
  • Coordinates all Operations activities to ensure the continuity of service delivery;
  • Support the Derivatives product offerings: Exchange traded Options and Futures; OTC
  • Support the Fixed Income product offering: Lifecycle Management - trade maintenance; trade support; Management of Settlement - including resolution of breaks
  • Provide leadership and support to Risk Management and Client for Default Simulations and Disaster Recovery program
  • Relationship Management with Regulators, Internal and External Audit, Risk Management, Finance and Technology partners
  • Strict adherence to internal procedures, rules, audit requirements and internal controls verification processes
  • Makes recommendations using professional judgement, guided by known practices

Education / Experience

  • Post-Secondary education in Business Administration and/or Accounting is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years’ experience in the Securities Financial Industry
  • Solid knowledge in Operations or Securities Accounting in the Securities Financial Industry, the Canadian Securities Industry (Equities, Fixed Income and Derivatives), and the Global Capital Markets
  • Strong proficiency with Google and other desktop applications
