The Opportunity:

The Service Representative supports the Personal Lines team with key P&C insurance services
including, but not limited to, assisting with new business quotes, remarketing, renewals, client retention, client access portal set up, and the claims process.

  • Read, understand and adhere the Company’s policies, procedures and Code of Conduct.
  • Review and process policy documents, renewals, endorsements and cancellations through carrier portals.
  • Preparing and forwarding binders for renewals as instructed.
  • Quote and/or assist with renewal policies.
  • Review issued policies and endorsements against applications.
  • Prepare and forward insurance related letters and documents to clients and insurers.
  • Manage follow-up / abeyance system and Renewal Logs to ensure we meet our client service standards.
  • Assist Brokers with client inquiries or time sensitive assignments as requested.
  • Support PL team during vacation and high season for client service. Specifically, provide exceptional service with the highest priority of understanding the clients needs, renewals, answering client calls and emails, multi-line promotion, and provide coverage advice.
  • To meet all goals and targets for the unit/team.
  • While maintaining client accounts, audit the files to ensure all documentation and notes are referenced in the client file to prevent E&O incidents.
  • Order CGI reports.
  • As required, handle all tasks and client inquiries in accordance with established timelines, and written policies and procedures ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
  • Handle requests for information such as drivers’ license, serial numbers, pictures, handle lien holder requests, prepare binders, liability cards, and other correspondence in accordance to established procedures.
  • Support the PL team with review and auctioning Expiry and weekly Missed Renewals reports.
  • Assist in transitioning clients to direct bill and collect insurance payments following financial transaction procedures; follow up as required to prevent non-payment cancellations.
  • Stay current with insurance carrier market updates.
  • Pursue a professional development program.
  • Foster and maintain a positive working environment.
  • Perform other specific duties as directed by leaders.

Here’s what you bring:
  • High School graduate
  • Insurance Broker level 1 license required.
  • Previous insurance experience preferred
  • A natural ability at building authentic client relationships and functioning as part of a team
  • High level of motivation, excellent time management skills, and the ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion
  • Strong work ethic without sacrificing your ability to have fun on the job
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
