Job title: Project Controller

Type of position: Regular

Work location: Vancouver

Job Description :
As a project controller, you will be working with various Project Managers and Engineers to set up the project structure and
incorporate it into the management system. You will also identify and implement various project management tools and update them continuously. Your role will also include the following responsibilities:
• Analyze the progress made in the project and discuss detected gaps and anomalies (CPI, ETC, EAC) with the PM, and notify project member
• Submit and explain the results to the PM and assist him or her if actions are required.
• Prepare and revise project change notices and have them validated by the PM.
• Perform internal and external follow-ups, until the project change notices are incorporated.
• Oversee and organize all the activities related to the schedule, budget, present the tendencies, changes in project variances, billing, etc.;
• Gather and produce supporting documents required for billing (time sheets, time report, etc.).
• Gather relevant information and prepare the monthly report for review by the PM.
• Ensure that all costs were charged to the project before closeout and make sure that all follow-up files are complete (list of deliverables, quality file, etc.).
• Support the PM in completing quality reviews with members of the project team.
• Use the BBA coding and filing system.
• Support project teams with activities related to coordination and travel to the site, where required.
• Assist in preparing monthly reports
• Prepare and submit invoices to the clients
• Applies the firm’s health and safety policy and takes the necessary preventive or corrective measures to perform the work safely; becomes familiar with the firm’s prevention program; and applies specific job directives.

Work Schedule : 37.5 hours/week

Requirements :
• Minimum 10 years of experience in project management
• DCS in Administration, ACS in Project Management Technology or a combination of relevant education and work experience
• Strong abilities in management, communication and multidisciplinary team support
• Solid negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Excellent spoken and written communication in English
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and Primavera, especially Excel and Microsoft Project
• Asset: Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX and Prism
