RECREATION FACILITATOR (Temporary, Full Time)- Chelsey Park Long Term Care

Candidates are invited to apply for the temporary full-time position of Recreation Facilitator at Chelsey Park Long Term Care Residence, a 247 bed home located in London On. The home is located close to many amenities and has the finest programming services available to our residents!

Reporting to the Recreation Manager, you will be responsible to assist in design, implementation and evaluation of recreation programs. Hours of work include days, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays.

Every team member is carefully selected and screened to ensure consistent delivery of the highest standards of service excellence.


  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation and Leisure Studies with TR course content (students enrolled in either program are welcome to apply).
  • At least one year of experience in a health care setting.
  • Will possess knowledge on how to plan, organize, direct and implement programs to enhance the physical, intellectual, emotional, cognitive, social and spiritual domains.
  • Ability to assess and gather information that is necessary for therapeutic recreation.
  • Ability to create resident focused goals based on assessment information to create suitable intervention plans.
  • Organizes a variety of activities based on both individual and collective resident needs and interests as well as their strengths and abilities.
  • Maintain appropriate department records including assessments, evaluations, participation records as well as other records that may be deemed necessary.
  • F Class license is a requirement in order to provide community involvement and liaison with the community.
  • Strong written and oral communication.
  • Interested in working in a highly customer service-oriented environment and thriving on making a difference in the lives of the residents.
  • Confident, results oriented, self-starter who is able to take initiative to play a contributing role in the Recreation team.
