Position Summary

As a key member of the Information Security Operations team, the Security Engineer will be responsible for guidance, evaluation, design, development, implementation and integration of cyber security solutions and services. Reporting to the Director, Security Operations and working closing with Enterprise Architecture team, the ideal candidate will possess AWS experience and expertise with cloud security solutions that will ensure compliance with RSA’s security standards. This is a critical role in our business modernization strategy and an exciting opportunity for an AWS Cloud security professional.

Office location can be either (Toronto – GTA area, Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, Darmouth, St. John’s).

What you'll do in the role

  • Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of systems, networks and information
  • Identify and define system security requirements
  • Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designs
  • Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols
  • Configure, maintain and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices
  • Design, build and implement security controls embedded in Cloud Infrastructure and Services
  • Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks
  • Provide operational support and maintenance of critical security services across a variety of platforms (i.e. SIEM, McAfee Endpoint Security, DLP, EDR, Digital Certificate Management, Proxy Content Filtering etc.)

What you'll need

  • Proven experience with AWS Cloud security in building, supporting and migrating applications in the AWS Cloud for mid to large size organizations.
  • Solid understanding of Cloud security reference architecture, Cloud security preventative, monitoring, and process controls
  • Direct experience with implementing AWS security controls such as CloudTrails, CloudWatch, GuardDuty, AWS Inspector, AWS encryption, AWS KMS, AWS CloudHSM etc.
  • Familiarity with audit standards for the Cloud – Cloud Security Alliance CCM, CIS, NIST Cloud Reference Architecture
  • Experience with implementation and supporting security tools such as McAfee solutions Endpoint solutions (EPO, ENS, DLP, and EDR), SIEM, Email Security, IPS/IDS, Anti-DDoS, MFA Authentication, HSMs, Web Proxy/Gateway, Firewalls, Orchestration & Automation, etc.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Candidate has one or more security certifications (CISSP or similar), or a Degree in Computer Science or Information Security field or equivalent work experience
  • Candidate has Cloud or Cloud Security-related certification
