Position Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated, solutions oriented individual to assume the role of Senior Analyst, Standards and Methodology, reporting to the Manager, Standards and Methodology. This opportunity will assist with the overall Clarity Portfolio Project Management (PPM) tool deployment and support. In addition, this role oversees the Governance structure that will ensure that the defined processes, methods and tools are being adhered to. This opportunity is located in Toronto, however for the right candidate we may consider St John’s, NL.

What you'll do in the role

  • Process related activities:
    • Assist with the overall Clarity PPM tool deployment and 1st level user support
    • Works with RPM SME to solution Clarity PPM issues, which includes writing requirements, working with the vendor for development changes, testing, report development, documentation and training
    • Assists with coordination of regular Clarity PPM meetings (Operational Group meeting, solution design sessions, user groups, etc.)
    • Provides processes development, standardization and improvement services for all areas of the Project Management Life Cycle and, where required, to support the Systems Development Life Cycle
    • Development & document collateral processes and/or artefacts that support project implementation best practices; both traditional and agile
    • Manage and maintain the EPMO SharePoint site and supporting artefacts
  • Governance related activities:
    • Provides Clarity PPM oversight and governance regarding the use of the tool
    • Provides EPMO Portfolio Management and Governance services such as ensuring quality and completeness of project artefacts
    • Support the Lessons Learned process which includes documenting lessons learned feedback and ensure lessons learned are maintained properly in Clarity PPM or Sharepoint
    • Ensure Clarity PPM and EPMO processes and policies are fully understood & shared across the organization

What you'll need

  • University or college degree/diploma or equivalent training or experience ** Business administration, financial management, project management degrees or certifications is ideal
  • 3-7 years related experience ** experience with project management and governance controls, minimum 3 years’ experience working in the project management office
  • Experience with project tools including Broadcom Clarity PPM, MS Project, MS Office, Visio, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of various Project Management and Systems Development Life Cycle
  • Strong presentation skills leading training sessions and excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Understanding of Project financials
  • Excellent influencing and negotiating experience and exceptional stakeholder management ability
  • Highly organized with a proactive attitude towards problem solving
