Type of position: Regular
successful candidate will be an active member of the Electrical team designing
electrical packages. A strong knowledge in HV/MV applications for both
industrial and/ or Utility applications. The candidate will work alongside
other disciplines to ensure an integrated design meeting the needs of the
The engineer will work with the following:
Design Substation operating single line diagram, layout, sections, rigid/flexible bus, installation details, and bill of material;
Control/Switchgear building electrical layout, sections, bill of material and specification;
Equipment specification, vendor bid evaluation, inspection and factory acceptance test, and vendor drawing review;
Cable sizing, routing and design; outdoor and indoor cable tray/trench/conduit system design;
Grounding study and grounding grid design;
Lightning protection study and design;
Outdoor and indoor lighting system design;
AC/DC system calculation and design;
Modification of existing installations to incorporate new equipment;
Equipment structure and foundation, substation civil design interface;
Protection and control, SCADA/communication interface
Develop proposal, cost estimates
Develop reports for various project stages: DBM, concept select, FEED
