Job Summary:

This role is responsible for leading the digital innovation team that supports CSA Group’s digital transformation at a global level. Responsible for driving the strategic innovation initiatives and delivering anticipated outcomes adopted lean startup methodology. Aligns strategic business goals and objectives with innovation initiatives. Adopts business design and conducts human centered design workshops to determine customer problems and innovates on opportunities to create new/enhance products, services and processes. Interfaces with business leaders and other IT & DT functional area leaders to strategize, define and lead initiatives that achieves business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Recommends innovative and transformational changes or enhancements to CSA Group digital products, services and systems that realize revenue gains, operational efficiencies, improved internal/external communications, business growth and or helps to manage CSA’s risk.

  • Thorough understanding of the business innovation processes and design thinking, emerging technology landscape and technical solutioning interdependencies.

  • Proactively researches and recommends courses of action to ensure CSA Group enterprise vision and strategy is achieved.

  • Assesses technology trends, understands strategic objectives and provides recommended innovation initiatives.

  • Responsible for complying with policies, identifying risk within area of responsibility and ensuring work is done within CSA Group’s risk tolerance.

  • Collaborate with business leaders, providing input and capability information as inputs to develop business case for initiatives.

  • Work with the business to integrate capability planning and roadmaps into their strategic planning and project implementations.

  • Participates in enterprise risk and disaster recovery planning.

  • Takes ownership and a ‘hands on’ approach to define and deliver a program of work.

  • Provides formalized, continuing work direction for the team of business analysts, UX designers, Solution architects and developers.

  • Analyzes the industry and market trends and determine new and potential business models & digital business opportunities.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

  • Typically has 8 to 12 years of business/industry work experience, with at least 3 years of leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.

  • Experience in leading innovation initiatives and strong technology background.

  • Senior level management responsibility in all aspects of project delivery and management.

  • Provides strategic direction, coaches and mentors more junior management staff.

  • Accountable for Technology functional/departmental results.

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Works cross-functionally and thinks both critically and strategically.

  • Strong sense of business acumen, can verbally communicate to large and small mixed audiences of technical and non-technical people.
