Teva Canada is currently looking to hire a Senior Manager, Retail Sales
Manage the sales representatives in a unique territory/region including hiring, training and development
Develop the regional sales plan for the attainment of sales objectives and present the sales activities to senior leadership
Ensure the achievement of the sales targets through the development of sales and business strategies
Monitor and review the monthly report of sales activities of each representative
Successfully negotiate contracts with key customers to increase product distribution
Communicate on a regular basis with representatives on sales progress and targets
Ensure implementation and leveraging of value-added programs for customers. Build relationships with key stakeholders and set-up events / sponsoring plan for your region and/or other territories/regions
Collect/report data and analyze reports / competition to inform decision-making, create business insights and provide updates concerning marketing opportunities and competitive activity.
Provide direction and support to the Sales Representatives through individual “work with” or group coaching
Work collaboratively with Sales effectiveness to build profitability into the business. Collect/report data and analyze reports/competition to inform decision-making, create business insights and provide updates concerning marketing opportunities and competitive activity.
Deliver content and actively support in the organization of regional meetings; working in collaboration with Senior Management and event organizers in the development of content sharing , logistics, training initiatives etc..
Participate in project work identified by Senior Management on a per need basis
Support multiple internal departments (BD, Marketing, Customer Service etc.) to support new initiatives impacting the sales organization
Perform other duties as assigned
Post-secondary degree in business, science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and training; Bachelors or Master’s degree preferred.
At least 5 years of Pharmaceutical sales experience; 2+ years leadership experience.
A well-organized and motivated professional with strong negotiation skills.
General understanding of disease and treatment regimens.
Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel. Proficiency with MS office products.
Solid communication and presentation skills.
A valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Must be geographically mobile and have a willingness to travel.
Pharmaceutical industry and knowledge of Generic more specifically is a strong asset.
Possesses strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Maintain own level of knowledge (including relevant knowledge of the Canadian market issues, whether political, economic, social trends, etc.) and pursue self-development
100% field role with regular travel within chosen territory. Occasional out of province and country travel.
