Deloitte’s in-house marketing agency is seeking a full-time Senior Marketing Manager. This position develops and executes the national strategic marketing plan for Deloitte’s Industry practices including Consumer and Government & Public Services. With the potential for added industry responsibilities. Working closely with the Senior Manager, Clients & Industries, as well as Industry and Sector leaders, you will be responsible for ensuring the execution of the firm’s go-to-market strategy across Canada.

Reporting to the Director of Field Marketing, the Senior Marketing Manager is self-motivated, energetic, innovative, driven for success and results oriented. You will recommend strategies for elevating Deloitte’s presence and strengthening the firm’s brand and various demand generation programs. Additionally, you will work closely with the local marketing representatives across the country as well as your global counterparts to ensure our plans are aligned and executed with a view to achieving the firm’s overall business growth objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Industry and Sectors Leaders, executing a full complement of marketing initiatives to drive growth and enhance market positioning, which may include:
  • Create marketing plans and support strategy that align to Industry business plans and priorities. Ensure alignment of local go-to-market priorities with national strategy and priorities
  • Design, plan and execute priority campaigns, utilizing an integrated approach through Deloitte’s internal marketing agency
  • Provide innovative approaches and deliver best practices and differentiate from market competition
  • Support and execute the initiatives outlined in the marketing plans, including major campaigns and activities to support lead generation and build eminence
  • Manage major initiatives, which will include collaborating with the broader Marketing team in areas such as online, media and design; leveraging resources within Deloitte’s internal Agency
  • Surface, design and execute events geared toward client education, relationship building and revenue growth including, but not limited to client roundtables, conferences and seminars
  • Accountable for tracking and reporting ROI, including lead generation, on all major marketing activities/campaigns
  • Collaborate/Coordinate with appropriate resources, including subject matter specialists, service area leaders, client service professionals, account developers, marketing and communications personnel and various shared services, to execute and/or leverage integrated marketing programs
  • Contribute innovative marketing ideas and solutions that support long term growth
  • Develop and maintain overall marketing budget and utilize sound marketing methods to ensure programs are implemented cost-effectively (ROI development and tracking)
  • Champion national initiatives including client feedback and CRM adoption
  • Liaise with counterparts from other Deloitte member firms, and with Global to identify areas of collaboration.
  • Lead Industry marketing resources, including dedicated campaign managers, to establish priorities and provide coaching, performance management and day to day management
  • Lead the extended regional marketing teams to provide direction on National campaigns that will need to be executed in local markets
External Posting Qualifications
  • Minimum eight years of marketing/communications experience, with a focus on strategy, planning and implementing integrated marketing communications campaign programs designed to build relationships
  • Experience in a management role with direct reports
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing or Business
  • Experience in developing marketing and communications strategies that are aligned to business strategy and priorities
  • Experience in business development support
  • Ability to keep the business focused on priorities and differentiate between the important and the less important
  • Budget planning and management experience
  • Experience with the following marketing communications tactics:
    • Conference/Event/Tradeshow management (world class marketing events)
    • Collateral/content production
    • Direct mail/cntact programs
    • Sponsorships
    • Media relations
    • Online and Social
  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization
  • A commitment to flexible work hours and some travel
  • An understanding of market segmentation and customer relationship management/databases is required
  • Ability to work and manage external suppliers is key
  • Familiarity with demand generation, lead tracking, ROI is needed to be successful
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • This psition will be responsible for coaching two Campaign Managers; in support of your go-to-market Industry Campaigns
  • Ability to manage multiple portfolios, with flexibility to shift gears during day-to-day activities, supporting multiple Industry Sector Leaders, etc.
  • Self-starter, independent and proactive
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and client service skills, with ability to develop contacts
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (French would be an asset)
  • Experience working with Government or the Consumer Industry would be an asset
