• Developing line routes.
  
• Designing and preparing engineering documents associated with transmission and distribution line projects.
  
• Designing support structures and foundations for transmission and distribution lines.
• Coordinate and manage transmission and distribution lines projects.
• Selecting various line components: insulators, hardware, conductors and structures.
  
• Preparing plans, specifications, technical reports and profiles and verifying electrical clearances.
  
• Assisting with existing line inspections
  
• Ensuring quality control of the work of engineers, technicians and drafters

Overview of certifications and job requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  
• At least 10 years of experience
  
• Experience with transmission and distribution lines
  
• Relevant structural experience combined with an interest in transmission and distribution lines
  
• Strong technical writing skills
  
• Asset: bilingual (English and French)
  
• Asset: knowledge of the PLS-CADD Suite
