Troy Life & Fire Safety Ltd. is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Service Manager to join our Edmonton team. Are you our next employee? As the Service Manager, you will be responsible to manage and develop the company's service interests while leading our local administrative and service team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper inventory levels are established and maintained
- Responsible for maximum efficiency in scheduling and managing and work performed by all Service Technician’s
- Responsible for developing service billings, service expense and service gross margin forecasts on a monthly basis
- Responsible for the preparation of business reports for the service department
- Responsible for maintaining a rolling service backlog total
- Responsible for adhering to the methods and standard procedure & policy established by the Troy Service
- Responsible for written performance evaluations for each Service Technician, and office staff
- Oversee all Health & Safety and ensure that all training requirements have been met
- Other managerial duties as required
Qualifications:
- 5+ years previous fire, sprinkler/life service safety management experience
- Post-secondary education in business or fire protection detection, or certified sprinkler fitter/fire alarm technician
- Knowledge of applicable codes and requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to prepare budgets and understand financial statements
- Good Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Able to create and function within a team environment
- Strong financial, operational and staff management skills
