Join us as Special Tools and Diagnostic Equipment Engineer, and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in St-Bruno,Quebec.

As an Special Tools and Diagnostic Equipment Engineer, you will responsible for the follow-up of all Customer deliverables related to special maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment of a project, from design to delivery. The engineer must make sure that all deliverables are submitted on time and meet the Customer requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyse the Customer technical specification to extract the specific special tools and diagnostic equipment requirements; Evaluates the Suppliers technical proposals; Analyses technical packages submitted from the Suppliers and approves technical documents such as drawings et technical descriptions; Participates to the design reviews with the Suppliers and Customer;
  • Follow up on the delivery of the equipment; Attends the equipment installation and commissioning at the Customer Plans and follows up technical activities;
  • Approve the test procedures to validate the design of the equipment under his/her responsibility; Attends the qualification tests of this equipment at Suppliers;
  • Design of Maintenance Diagnostic Equipment;
  • Undertake any other relevant duties related to its functions.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent;
  • Ideally three (3) to fifteen (15) years of relevant experience;
  • Member of the “Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec”;
  • Completion of a mechanical technique at college would be an asset;
  • Knowledge in the railway field it would be an asset;
  • Knowledge in testing electromechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment;
  • Able to design maintenance tools using 3D Design software preferably Catia (is an asset);
  • Be autonomous and demonstrate leadership.
  • Fluent in English and French both spoken and written.
