Successful candidate will work as part of the Platform Tools software development group working specifically on developing Validation SW tools for next generation AMD microprocessors. The Candidate should have good C++ programming skills and System level software development experience.

Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics or Computer Science or related engineering field from a reputed university and should have 5+ years of experience.

Required Skills:

• Object oriented design and programming on C/C++ (5 years)
• Experience with writing SW tools (command line and GUI), diagnostic tests or drivers for complex System-On-Chip ASICs
• Experience with debugging applications on Windows, Linux and MacOS.
• Experience with version control systems like Subversion, Perforce, Git.
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Knowledge of PC architecture and hardware of PC components like memory, CPU, GPU.
• Knowledge of different interfaces and standards like PCIE, USB, SATA, I2C, SPI, ACPI, MPEG, JPEG.
• Ability to read and understand board’s electrical schematics
• Ability to assemble computer hardware and use various lab equipment like multimeters, scope, programmers, analyzers etc. for testing, debugging, programming and measurements.
• Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills.
• Good communication, presentation, and documentation skills
• Excellent team player

Highly desirable:

• In depth knowledge of Mac OS
• Experience with Qt framework and UI design tools.
• In depth knowledge of CPU and Graphics processors and their architecture

Nice to have:

• Programming using Python script
• Knowledge of Boost library
• Kernel Mode Drivers for various OS
