Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Technologies, the Senior Developer is responsible for planning, developing, upgrading and troubleshooting digital products and solutions. The successful candidate will be a quick learner who has the ability and willingness to share knowledge with teams and peers and to lead web/mobile development projects. They will be a dynamic team player experienced in writing quality code under a strong understanding of project lifecycle and software development lifecycle. In addition, they will have demonstrated experience in .NET development and possess strong skills in C#, ASP.NET and Sitecore. This role will require someone who is adaptive to new products, people and technologies and who exhibits high energy and an affinity towards user-centric solutions.

The successful candidate will preferably be based in Toronto, but as remote working remains an option, the candidate could also be based anywhere in Canada.


  • Working in collaboration with developers, project managers, UX and QA teams to own and deliver high quality and high performing technical solutions on time.
  • Define detailed specifications for web/mobile and other technical solutions.
  • Configure, customize and code CMS-based templates, page layouts and data integration modules for public facing presence.
  • Setup and maintain development environments (DEV, QA, PROD etc.) in Azure ensuring effective cost structure.
  • Implement and exercise development best practices including well-documented code and quality assurance testing.
  • Undertake code reviews with the design and development team.
  • Mentor and coach to developers.
  • Work jointly with another senior developer and/or independently based on project scope.
  • Prepare and execute demos and training sessions on technical solutions.
  • Write technical documentation for delivered solutions.
  • Plan, prepare for and execute production deployments, including documentation of release and roll-back plans.


  • Strong C# programming experience.
  • Strong web application experience in .NET and strong skills in ASP.NET.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software engineering or related major with a combination of training and experience.
  • 4 or more years of C# and ASP.NET programming experience.
  • Experience developing for Sitecore content management system. Sitecore certification is a definite asset.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and building business/data layers and code libraries.
  • Experience with creating and consuming web services.
  • Understanding of object-oriented design and development.
  • Knowledge of agile principles – scrum, backlog, sprints etc.
  • Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Vue.js and JavaScript.
  • Working knowledge of Jira, TeamCity, Bitbucket, GitHub, Azure DevOps etc.
  • Detail oriented and solution focused.
  • Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Assertive and quick learner with ability to share and mentor.
  • Office and/or remote environment with occasional requirements to work outside of regular office hours.
