Job Description

Responsible for the full accounting cycle related to projects, fixed assets and revenue ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial information used for internal and external reporting and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, including:

  • Provide guidance on accounting treatment on the project costs.
  • Assist to create, maintain, and supervise asset master on regular basis.
  • Point person for fixed asset processes and systems in alignment with the Company’s capitalization policy.
  • Responsible for the full revenue and accounts receivable accounting and reporting cycle, which involves working with multiple billing and AR systems.
  • Collaborate with cross functional business partners including related parties, tax consultants, internal and external auditors.
  • Assist in month end, quarter and year end closing and reporting.
  • Monthly account reconciliations and analysis.
  • Assist in completing Statistics Canada annual survey forms.
  • Special projects and Ad Hoc requests as required


  • Accounting Designation or in final stages
  • Knowledge and understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards
  • ERP and SAP knowledge
  • MS Office skills, in particular excellent Excel skills.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written – ability to deal with individuals at all levels
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple deliverables
  • Ability to work both independently, with little supervision and within a team environment
