Under the direction of a Forestry Supervisor, the Senior Forest Technician is responsible for forest development activities including reconnaissance road/cutblock engineering, ecological and riparian assessments, and completing the associated plans, deliverables, and appraisal packages in a safe, timely, cost effective and professional manner. This position generally encompasses both field and office duties.

  • A safety conscious attitude
  • Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in forestry
  • Broad understanding of and experience in general forestry practices and operational forest planning
  • Registered with the Association of British Columbia Forest Professionals
  • Minimum of 3 years of multiphase timber development experience in British Columbia
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract

  • A professional, friendly and courteous manner, being service & team oriented
  • Ability to work both independently under limited direct supervision as well as in a dynamic team environment
  • Proficiency in mentoring and supervising technical assistants
