Senior Quality Assurance Analyst

As a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst…

You are a dedicated QA professional who will draw upon rich experience to ensure the delivery of quality software releases. Your knowledge of Quality Assurance techniques, processes and toolsets allow you to thrive as an integral part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.

Who you are…

You are someone who can take ownership of producing key QA artifacts and leading events. You are a self-starter, unafraid of taking on complex new domain and process learning with minimal supervision. Ideally, you are also always on the lookout to identify and capitalize on automation opportunities that arise.

For this role, you bring the following qualifications…

  • University degree in a relevant discipline or a two-year college diploma supplemented by industry recognized professional courses;
  • 3-5 years progressively responsible experience in a quality assurance environment;
  • Experience with Test Management and defect management tools such as HP ALM, qTest, JIRA, etc.;
  • Well versed in standard QA processes including test planning (including risk based decision making), requirements coverage, test case creation, defect reporting and status reporting;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to walk through test plans with cross functional teams, write concise and meaningful tests, convey test results and lead various review meetings with various stakeholders;
  • Basic to Intermediate knowledge of SQL;
  • API testing experience is considered a strong asset, particularly experience with ReadyAPI pro and/or SOAPUI;
  • Test automation experience is an asset;
  • Experience as a QA professional in an Agile delivery methodology is an asset;
  • ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) Certification is an asset;
