What you will be doing
Prepares and delivers daily theme-oriented recreational program for children ranging in age from 4 to 12 years.
Actively leads and participates in a wide range of activities including swimming.
Ensures the continuing safety of all participants while in the program.
Supports and provide feedback to Leaders in Training Volunteers
Responds to emergency situations and behavioural management issues in accordance with procedures.
Adheres to prescribed policies and procedures.
Maintains records, reports and a clean and safe program site.
Attends and participates in all trainings and staff meetings
Ensures professional and appropriate communication with parents/guardians and the public.

Experience and Knowledge
Experience and an eagerness to work with children as well as strong leadership, communication and decision-making abilities.

Standard First Aid with CPR C and AED

Current and valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check to be provided prior to commencement in this position.
Proof of your current and valid certificate(s) and/or educational qualifications.
High Five-PHCD Certificate & Standard First Aid, CPR C AED Certificate
Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training Certificate from the Ministry of Labour
Rate of pay
The hourly rate of pay for this position is $14.25
Hours of work
Camp Season – June 28, 2021 to September 3, 2021.
Camp does not run July 1 (Canada Day) and August 2 (Civic Holiday).
Up to 44 hours per week. *hours dependent on weekly registrations at location
Mandatory paid training dates/session will occur in June, and mandatory bi-weekly evening staff meetings in July and August, as scheduled by management. Please note that training dates are subject to change.
