Surveyor - Harbourside Lot d

Due to the exciting expansion of Modern Niagara within Vancouver and the winning of some of British Columbia’s most prestigious projects, we are looking for a surveyor to join our team full time and work on these exciting projects. We have an immediate need for a surveyor at our Harbourside Lot D site, but this would just be the beginning with numerous large projects secured and upcoming in the city. OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with our sleeving teams onsite to maximize the use of our Trimble machines during the sleeving process
• Assist our virtual design teams with Trimble data input from our Revit models (We can train)
• Assist in training our site teams not only on the Harbourside site but sites across the city on ways we can maximize our use of Trimble software and GPS machines for sleeving and layout
• Act as a company representative, liaising directly with client field representatives
• Contribute to the development and implementation of industry best practices, more efficient field processes and procedures and the innovative use of new technology;
• Strong problem solving skills in a field environment
• The ability to develop and motivate survey staff and work well in a team environment
• Perform assigned tasks and responsibilities efficiently and effectively under the direction of the Project Foreperson
• Ability to adhere and uphold the safety protocols and measures put in place by Modern Niagara to ensure the safety of all employees
• Perform additional related duties as required under the direction of the Project Foreperson

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Strong problem solving skills in a field environment
• The ability to develop and motivate others and work well in a team environment
• Previous sleeving or building construction experience across the installation of plumbing, mechanical piping systems, or sheet metal across either residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, or healthcare projects is an asset
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Excellent attention to detail, print reading, coupled with a strong understanding of project drawings
• Able to work at heights with all necessary safety training completed
• Safety conscience individual who respects and adheres to all safety measures whilst on site
• Strong work ethic with impressive mechanical problem solving/troubleshooting skills
• Hardworking individual with a strong desire to learn and grow within their position
• Ability to work on own initiative but also within a team.
