Specific Job Description

The candidate will participate as a Supportability Engineering member of the Naval Development team in a multidisciplined team environment working on the total engineering life cycle from specification, design, development, integration and test, deployment, maintenance and field trouble shooting for large scale, high complexity naval platform systems.
The candidate will participate in engineering activities including but not limited to:
  • Directly supporting the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Integrated Project Team (IPT) lead in tasks required to meet program needs such as reliability, maintainability and reliability analysis, development of Logistic Support Analysis Record (LSAR), sparing analysis
  • System architecture
  • Hardware and software design and requirements analysis
  • Review of vendor data
  • Participating in design reviews

Required skills, qualifications and experience

Pursuing a degree in System/Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

Desired skills, qualifications and experience

  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering, RMA and FMEA
  • Knowledge of UML-Unified Modelling Language
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Visio, SharePoint, DOORS, Windchill PLM
  • Well organized, capable of planning, scheduling and prioritizing work
  • Aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment
