Technical Buyer

Artemis is looking for a Technical Buyer for our client located in Laval. One of the largest equipment and surface treatment manufacturers in Canada. The Technical Buyer will be responsible for optimizing the activities in the purchasing and supply chain of the production plant.


  • Establish production processes and efficient purchasing planning;
  • Responsible for internal and external purchase orders;
  • Coordinate project delivery;
  • Ensure management of the logistics and administrative tasks of projects;
  • Responsible for planning the purchase and negotiating the contracts with the supplier;
  • Responsible for inventory and quality management;
  • Meet profitability and quality objectives within the timeline and cost.


  • 5 years of experience in a similar role in an industrial manufacturing environment;
  • College education required;
  • Mechanical engineering (asset);
  • Bilingualism (French and English) English is essential;
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical components, steel, industrial machining and welding processes;
  • Knowledge of computerized inventory management systems (asset);
  • Excellent communications (written and verbal);
  • Technical and interpersonal skills.
