Job Summary:

FireFlex Systems is looking for a Technical Sales Representative to join its sales team to maintain and develop its sales in the North American market. Building on mature product lines, new innovative products and recognized as industry leaders you will report to the Sales/Marketing Manager and will be mainly responsible to maintain and develop our network of contacts and decision makers in your territory.

Working out of our Calgary or Vancouver office, you will also be responsible through proactive business development to stimulate interest towards our products and ultimately increase our market share in the designated geographic area.

Your responsibilities:

  • Identify key engineers, contractors, and other influencers involved in fire protection and contact them to promote our products
  • Develop an effective relationship with our distributors including follow-ups on regular basis
  • Plan and organize technical presentations on our products with engineers, other influencers and distributors
  • Participate in local trade organizations and professional associations activities such as trade shows and technical presentations
  • Develop and identify product features, benefits and applications of FireFlex’s products
  • Report to manager on major opportunities and account activities, market information and new products
  • Present to our customers comparative costs of acquisition, maintenance and service of our systems
  • Plan a base concept for a system and identify its main components
  • Participate in preparing proposals
  • Offer technical support to our customers

Your qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant experience in industrial sales (mechanical, plumbing, fire alarm, construction products);
  • Competitive nature and hunter type salesperson
  • Consultative selling skills, self-motivated and self-driven with ability to work remotely with minimal supervision
  • Ability to efficiently manage time and priorities
  • Sales experience in selling value added products
  • Good knowledge of fire protection or fire alarm products (asset);
  • Good knowledge of NFPA standards (asset);
  • Customer service oriented.
