Reporting to the Manager Engineering and Technical Support the Technical Support Engineer is responsible for aircraft configuration control in support of aircraft imports, exports, and company initiatives. In conjunction, develop technical work instructions, draft minor drawings and empty weight and balance calculations. Working in a cross functional environment the successful candidate will also contribute to OEM and vendor documentation assessment, project planning, aircraft troubleshooting support and part review.


  • Support Import and Export of seasonal fleet
  • Control and document aircraft configuration including drafting of minor drawings.
  • Development and publication of technical work instructions.
  • Aircraft part review, acceptance and implementation.
  • Maintain aircraft weight and balance program and calculate basic empty weight for fleet aircraft.
  • Liaise with OEM, Vendors, and suppliers as required supporting project requirements ensuring on time project completion.
  • OEM and regulatory document assessment, and planning.
  • Review of aircraft out of service/reliability, component reliability, root cause analysis of failure and identify areas to improve performance.
  • Provide technical support to line, hangar maintenance and modification programs as required.
  • Carry out assigned Safety Investigations of aircraft and components.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.


  • Holder of AME M2, E, or equivalent aircraft engineering experience
  • 5 year’s experience in maintenance of large transport category aircraft
  • Excellent knowledge of modification and repair development and approval processes
  • Knowledge of weight and balance control processes and calculations
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency on AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator and MS Office
  • Knowledge of AMOS maintenance system is an asset
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs and reliability management systems
