JMJ Aerospace is looking for a tooling engineer for our client located in Dorval, QC. It is a permanent position:
Planning, developing, modifying and commissioning of Tooling and Equipment for assembling / disassembling of engines as well as devices for repairing engine parts
Lead or take part in projects relating to repair development, enhancing capabilities of engine lines or shops as well as the development and optimization of processes within the Tooling and Equipment planning and development.
Ensure documentation of Tooling and Equipment in accordance with the statutory provisions (material master data, test instructions, operating instructions, Transport Canada conformity)
Create and carry out specification, tendering and procurement of resources and measures to determine relevant purchasing processes when coordinating with the purchasing department
Lead development projects as part of the design organization including development, documentation, as well as verification
Bachelor degree in engineering (mechanical engineering / aerospace engineering)
Additional qualification as a design engineer or willingness to acquire this qualification
5 years of relevant experience, preferably in project management or Tooling and Equipment
Knowledge of CAD (Solidworks) (Siemens NX, Teamcenter, an asset)
Good knowledge of the general construction and machine guidelines for the safe operation of machines and systems (according to Transport Canada standards)
Good knowledge of relevant regulations within the aerospace sector
Good written and spoken English knowledge
Strong analytical and conceptual skills
Negotiation skills, assertiveness and decisiveness, good teamworker
