Logistics coordinator

We are looking for a Logistics coordinator for our client located in Montreal. A permanent position in a company that is proud to Innovate and customize their services with integrity. Our client is one of the world leaders in the industry. The Trader assistant will provide support to traders in the administration of transactions and department activity. They will actively administer the orders and act as backup for the person that is in charge of this program. They will assist with the development of new business leads by using the various data bases.

  • Prepare costing in accordance with the Traders instructions.
  • Ensure proper completion of cost cards to confirm details of the given transaction.
  • Ensure continuous updating of shipment and arrival of orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of communications pertaining to orders (emails).
  • Ensure all pertinent documentation required for a given order is requested and obtained.
  • Provide support for the receivables.
  • Complete any task or projects that may be asked of them from time to time.
  • Ensure backup of position when person in charge is away.
  • Keep Trader and customer informed of any changes to an order (delays in arrival, modification or quantities, etc.)
  • Prepare order files for factory assigned to them.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the orders.
  • Keep informed of markets in which they are active.
  • Be Knowledgeable of the cycles that exist in the markets they operate in.
  • Mine data bases that have been assigned to them to develop leads for the products and territories they have been assigned.
  • Identify new opportunities both on the customer and supply side.
  • Identify new suppliers for CoE they are assigned to..


  • DEC in related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in the similar position.
  • Bilingual. (Written and spoken English mandatory)
  • Detail oriented and team player.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics and documentation as it relates to the import and export of products.
  • Strong knowledge of costing for the purpose of producing offers.
  • Comfortable with the Office suite of software.
