The Opportunity: The Utility Analyst is responsible for developing models to budget and forecast utilities for multi residential and commercial managed assets. What you’ll be responsible for day to day: • Develop and maintain detailed forecasting models at the property levels for utility expenses and recoveries • Rate and consumption forecasting and variance analysis to budget/forecast • Validate the accuracy of month end accruals • Identifying any issues with broken meters, billing errors, etc through validation of EnergyCap data • Modeling for acquisitions • Utility contract management • Utility account management (rate selection, errors/credits, set up of accounts after acquisitions) • Energy monitoring set up • Maximize savings from vendor and government potential rebate programs • Benchmark across portfolio to identify potential opportunities to reduce consumption and increase efficiencies including setting up long term targets • Create and report on KPI Dashboards • Investor and management reporting Who we’re looking for: Education: College or University degree. Environmental and Finance studies are an asset Experience: A minimum of two to five (2-5) years of relevant work experience in an analyst role Specialized Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: • Analytical and problem solving skills • Attention to detail • Knowledge of SAP/ERP system is an asset • Expert level Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Outlook • Financial modelling skills • Communication skills (listening, verbal and written) • Problem Solving skills • Ability to work independently • Proactive approach Minto is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible environment.
