Vice President, Marketing

We are looking for Vice President, Marketing who will lead an expanding team and spearhead near- and long-term marketing efforts, including product and brand marketing, marketing creatives, lifecycle marketing and consumer insights, player community building, and user acquisition.

You are an experienced marketing professional with deep experience marketing, distributing, and servicing best-in-class consumer products around the globe. You understand the needs of reaching, monetizing, and servicing customers across different regions around the world. You have a thorough understanding of competition with an eye on current and future market trends. You embrace a culture of data review and analysis by helping to integrate data into key decision-making process; championing the use of data analysis across all areas of business. Most importantly, you inspire others to do great work.

As part of our senior leadership team, this role will be based in our Vancouver office while collaborating with remote teams in San Francisco, CA, Austin, TX, and around the globe. We entertain the world with our games; join us and help us delight more people in more places.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Work in close partnership with product owners and development teams to ensure alignment between the product offering and optimization of marketing programs
  • Lead Product Marketing, Lifecycle Marketing, Community, and User Acquisition while partnering with Product Development and Live Operations to achieve targeted results
  • Drive cross-functional planning and execution with resources across studio locations
  • Initiate marketing partnership opportunities with licensor, platforms and other potential consumer marketing partners
  • Work closely with senior leadership on long-term franchise planning to drive towards a $1B business
  • Contributing a thorough understanding of competition and market trends, collaboration with Data Analytics to inform and set KPI which will drive our efforts to expand in different markets
  • Create marketing plans and calendar in support of organizational strategy and objectives
  • Liaise with territory specific marketing experts and agencies to drive improvements in our worldwide business, particularly into regions outside of North America
  • Collaborate with our parent company to support their worldwide success
  • Manage and mentor a team of content creators and marketing talents located in Vancouver, San Francisco, and Austin

Adding to the ingredient of success, you will bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in similar capacity, combined with minimum 5 years of management experience specific to the gaming industry
  • Experience in creating global marketing campaigns with emphasis on North American, European, and Asia Pacific regions
  • Proven track record of solving complex strategic problems – with solid frameworks – and execution against this strategy with the appropriate tactics
  • Strong affinity for metrics and performance marketing
  • Experience leading through influence and collaboration with others
  • Outstanding interpersonal skill with commitment to delivering a high standard of work
  • Exceptional people management and leadership abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively present and share information across a wide array of game development expertise and seniority within the organization
  • Ability to juggle a complex set of tasks, goals, and priorities with a smile
