Big White Ski Resort is currently recruiting Hotel Housekeeping Supervisors for the 2021/2022 winter season! Hotel Housekeeping Supervisors are responsible for the daily coordination of rooms to be cleaned by the housekeeping team; inspecting rooms and common areas to make sure they meet the core standard of cleaning; checking rooms for maintenance (attention to detail and presentation are very important); and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all staff and guests.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Help with training of all housekeeping staff
  • Supervise housekeeping staff and laundry staff while they are performing their duties
  • Stock and maintain any housekeeping supply rooms
  • Determine and process all guest complaints
  • Check all guest rooms are ready for arrival
  • Conduct daily morning meeting with housekeeping staff and organize all staff daily
  • Ensure high level of customer service is maintained at all times
  • Assist guests with all questions and reasonable requests
  • Understand the reservation system and relieve front desk staff whenever necessary
  • Ensure accurate information is provided to all clients with respect to all Big White Central Reservations products
  • View all unit types in building and understand amenities in building
  • Understand how everything operates in guest room ie. Fireplace, windows, etc.
  • Understand the mountain and village layout and be able to give directions
  • Understand all health and safety issues with regards to staff and self
  • Basic understanding of front desk duties and how the hotel operates
  • Ensure all staff are adhering to Health & Safety protocols and wearing proper uniforms
  • Any other reasonable request made by a Central Reservations Manager

  • Must be able to be on their feet for long periods of time
  • Back, slip and fall issues
  • Must be able to use all cleaning equipment (vacuum, mop, etc.)

  • Might have to deal with threatening behavior from guests/staff
Location: Big White Ski Resort

Employment: November/December 2021 to April 2022 (applicants must be available to work one week after the season has ended for shut down)

Wage: $17.20/hour
