The Opportunity This position works out of our Mississauga location in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. The Brand Manager (HCP) is responsible for leading the strategic marketing efforts for FreeStyle Libre within the endocrinology therapeutic area, with a specific focus on engaging Endocrinologists and other relevant specialists.
This includes developing and executing targeted strategies, messaging, and tactics that resonate with this audience and drive brand growth.
We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement brand strategies tailored to Endocrinologists and other key specialists, aligned with business objectives and customer insights.
- Lead cross-functional planning to ensure seamless execution of specialist-focused initiatives across medical, sales, and marketing teams.
- Conduct and analyze market research specific to the endocrinology landscape to identify opportunities, barriers, and evolving customer needs.
- Collaborate with medical and agency partners to ensure scientific accuracy and relevance in all communications.
- Design and execute targeted marketing tactics including peer-to-peer programs, congress activations, KOL engagement, and specialist-specific digital campaigns.
- Track and optimize spend to maximize ROI and impact within the specialist segment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years' experience in medical devices, pharmaceutical, diagnostics or diabetes, ideally with a focus on specialty care.
- 3-5 years in healthcare marketing, sales experience or close collaboration with sales team is a strong asset.
- This person should be an experienced marketer with a proven track record in developing marketing plans that deliver on financial objectives. They should have a working knowledge of the Canadian diabetes and healthcare markets and the ability to effectively interface with the sales team, external and internal customers. In addition, they must possess the ability to anticipate market changes, input on product strategy and develop and implement marketing programs that drive business objectives. Last, they will have strong administrative and communication skills a proven ability to meet project deadlines.
