This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.
Your Role
We are looking for highly skilled and organized Enterprise Architect with deep subject matter expertise in Enterprise Software and Platform Architecture for our downtown Toronto, Ottawa or Montreal Office location.
Reporting to the Director of Software and Platform Architecture, you will be responsible for establishing an unified technological vision by understanding business processes and translating business requirements into technical solutions that deliver business value.
As part of the Architecture and Strategic Development (ASD) Department you will leave your mark by driving the shift from IT-centric to business-centric enterprise architecture.

How will you make an impact?
As the Enterprise Architect, you will:
- Define and promote a common vision of Enterprise Architecture and establish clear direction on roles, responsibilities and priorities with stakeholders.
- Lead the evolution of the Enterprise Architecture practice and drive the shift from IT-centric to business-centric enterprise architecture.
- Define the strategy to connect EA with data governance,risk management, information security to monitor its implementation and effectiveness.
- Participate in designing, documenting and communicating the current and target state architectures for major initiatives and other vendor-driven system replacements.
- Document the High Level Architecture that outlines the structure, components, and relationships between business processes, data, applications and technology infrastructure.
- Ensure that enterprise investments align with business goals and objectives.
- Ensure that architectural decisions align with organizational policies, industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Help establish and enforce architecture governance processes and standards.
- Drive innovation by identifying emerging technologies and evaluating their potential for the organization.
- Coach and mentor other architects, product owners/managers and business stakeholders to instill architectural thinking.
- Build and maintain relationships with business and technology stakeholders.

What you bring to our team
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business (or related experience).
- Five or more years of enterprise architecture and/or business experience in strategic and operations planning.
- Ten or more years of experience in solution or technical architecture and application development.
- Knowledge of business ecosystems such as SaaS, Cloud Platforms, On-prem and hybrid solutions.
- Understanding of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting and risk management.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools, related graphical models and frameworks.
- Understanding of various operating models such as project-centric and product-centric.
- Effective leadership skills with strong soft and interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
Desired Skills
- Organizationally savvy, with situational and contextual intelligence of the political climate of the enterprise and how to navigate obstacles and politics.
- Balances the long-term (“big picture”) and short-term implications of individual decisions and organization goals.
- Excellent written, verbal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work with remote teams.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is a strong asset.
