Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Assistant Spa Manager and Spa Supervisor, the Massage Therapist is a key member of our wellness-focused spa, providing clients with basic therapeutic and relaxation massages tailored to their specific needs.
You will ensure a calming, professional, and comfortable environment for clients, while delivering high-quality service that supports their physical and mental well-being.
Shifts: Full-time/Permanent. Days, evenings & weekends.
Wage: $16 per hour plus 25% commission (on treatment price) plus gratuity
Expected start date: 27th October 2025
Key Responsibilities
Massage Therapy & Customization
- Provide a variety of massage treatments including hot stone and body treatments.
- Customize massages based on clients’ needs, preferences, and health conditions.
- Conduct thorough consultations with clients to assess their needs and discuss any relevant health concerns.
Client Experience & Relationship Management
- Recommend additional spa services or products to enhance clients' experience and well-being.
- Work collaboratively with other spa professionals to ensure an exceptional experience for every client.
Spa Environment & Hygiene
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment room, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for clients.
- Uphold spa protocols and hygiene standards to ensure a safe and sanitized environment.
Administrative & Professional Development
- Maintain accurate client records and treatment notes.
- Stay updated with the latest massage techniques, trends, and industry standards.
Requirements
- Completion of a massage therapy course or training in massage techniques, anatomy, and physiology.
- RMT accredited an asset.
- Proven Experience performing massage therapy.
- Basic knowledge massage techniques and body mechanics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work long hours on your feet.
- Previous experience in a spa or wellness center is preferred but not required.
- A passion for wellness and helping others achieve improved health and relaxation.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
