Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, location etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Business Process Improvements (BPI) Specialist to join our growing team! Reporting to the Manager, Business Process Improvements, the BPI Advisor plays a critical role in identifying and driving process improvements, standardizing operations, and supporting business transformation across the enterprise. The successful candidate will help build a culture of continuous improvement while positioning the organization to leverage emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions. This hybrid position is available in any of our BrokerLink Canadian offices.
What you’ll do here
Continuous Improvement & Process Excellence Analyze workflows and operational processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities. Lead process mapping, root cause analysis, and future-state design initiatives. Develop and implement standardized procedures, best practices, and CI methodologies. Monitor operational performance using key metrics and dashboards. Business Transformation Lead initiatives from ideation through implementation and performance monitoring. Partner with business leaders to prioritize improvements aligned with strategic objectives. Evaluate opportunities to leverage automation, workflow technologies, and AI-powered tools. Conduct cost-benefit and impact analyses to validate and prioritize initiatives. Change Leadership Engage and coach stakeholders at all levels through process changes and new ways of working. Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and improvement meetings. Synthesize insights into clear, actionable recommendations and support communication of progress, risks, and outcomes. Build strong relationships and credibility across business units. Performance & Governance Establish project governance and reporting frameworks; track benefits realization. Provide regular stakeholder updates on progress, risks, and opportunities. Support the development of a Business Process Improvement Centre of Excellence.
What you bring to the table
Minimum 5 years of experience in business improvement, operational excellence, process improvement, business transformation, project management, or related roles. Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a complex business environment. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence methodologies with Green or Black Belt; Certifications are assets Background in insurance, brokerage, financial services, or regulated industries an asset. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience facilitating workshops and leading change initiatives. Excellent communication and presentation skills, and demonstrated success influencing stakeholders without direct authority. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Experience with large or multi-function change management, workflow automation, or AI-enabled solutions will be considered an asset This role is ideal for someone who: Is curious, asks thoughtful questions, and challenges the status quo constructively.
