• Reports to the Student Affairs Office (SAO) 45 minutes before the exam scheduled start time.
• Responsible for setting up the examination room according to specific requirements as well as ensuring that equipment and facilities are functioning properly.
• Administers the delivery of computerized exams and all physical documentation.
• Reports students’ problems to the SAO in a timely manner. Ensures that students comply with all exam regulations.
• Responsible to report to the SAO any behavior by students or others that does not comply with University regulations.
• Ensures that all mobile and web-accessible electronic devices are stowed away from students prior to the start of the examination.
• Ensures that students are accompanied to the washroom.
• Alerts the SAO when students have a question.
• At the end of the examination period, collects all exam materials and ensures nothing is left behind in the examination room(s).
• Responsible for returning all exams material to the SAO.

Mandatory Information Training Session (Virtual): Recording will be made available prior to shifts, but all invigilators (with or without seniority) must attend the training given new exam software.

AM: 8:45 am to 1:00 /1:30 pm
PM: 12:45 pm to 5:15 pm at latest

Shifts in Fall 2025:

• Invigilator Training: 1 hour, paid

Live on November 26th 2025 or remote completion possible

Hours per week: Variable depending on the needs of the Faculty (minimum 4 hour shift length)

Qualifications Required:
Holder of a high school diploma or higher. Comfortable with handling computerized exams. Must be student-focused and service oriented. Punctual. Demonstrated adequate communication and organizational skills, and an ability to transmit and receive information accurately. Demonstrated ability to listen and efficiently assist students with problems. Ability to follow instructions and to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to act in an acceptable manner so as not to disrupt students writing the exam. English, spoken and read. French an asset.

• Se présenter au bureau des affaires étudiantes (SAO) 45 minutes avant l'heure prévue pour le début de l'examen.
• Est chargé de préparer la salle d'examen conformément aux exigences spécifiques et de s'assurer que l'équipement et les installations fonctionnent correctement.
• Gère la distribution des examens informatisés et de tous les documents physiques.
• Signale les problèmes rencontrés par les étudiants au SAO en temps opportun. Veille à ce que les étudiants respectent toutes les règles relatives aux examens.

• S'assurer que tous les appareils électroniques mobiles et accessibles sur le web sont rangés hors de portée des étudiants avant le début de l'examen.
• S'assurer que les étudiants sont accompagnés aux toilettes.
• Alerter le SAO lorsque les étudiants ont une question.
• À la fin de la période d'examen, rassembler tout le matériel d'examen et s'assurer que rien n'est laissé dans la ou les salles d'examen.
• Être responsable du retour de tout le matériel d'examen au SAO.

Informations obligatoires Session de formation (virtuelle) : l'enregistrement sera disponible avant les quarts de travail, mais tous les surveillants (qu'ils soient expérimentés ou non) doivent assister à la formation sur le nouveau logiciel d'examen.

Qualifications requises :

Titulaire d'un diplôme d'études secondaires ou supérieur. À l'aise avec les examens informatisés. Doit être axé sur les étudiants et orienté vers le service. Ponctuel. Compétences avérées en communication et en organisation, et capacité à transmettre et à recevoir des informations avec précision. Capacité avérée à écouter et à aider efficacement les étudiants en difficulté. Capacité à suivre des instructions et à travailler de manière autonome et en équipe. Capacité à agir de manière acceptable afin de ne pas perturber les étudiants qui passent l'examen. Anglais parlé et lu. Français un atout.
