About the role
Job Description
Group Leaders are responsible for the overall safe operation of vans, trailers and daily logistics for tours that operate throughout Western Canada. Our guides are passionate and aim to craft experiences for guests to create an unforgettable vacation. Guides are encouraged to add their own personality to every experience. We are looking for motivated, energetic, customer-focused and hard-working individuals.
Group Leaders will be operating tours representing different reputable and reliable sales partners. Guides will share our aligned values, a dedication to the people and the environment in all the places we work and recreate on. Group leaders who are passionate about travel, align to Windigo's values, and whole-heartedly want to work to create, innovate and deliver the vacations of a lifetime will thrive in this position.
**Schedule **
Summer season – May to End of September
**Accommodation **
Accommodation will be provided for the duration of all tours, as well as a pre and post night. For accommodation between trips, we will update you based on location. We have a base camp south of Calgary.
**Requirements **
● Class 4 (BC & AB) Class 4b (QC) Canadian Driver's License with a clean driving record
● Legal Canadian work eligibility
● CPR Level C + First Aid Required; (WFR or WFA preferred) - 40h WFA or 80H WFA is required for certain types of trips
● Dedication to safety and client care for the duration of the season
● Excellent organization, public speaking and customer service skills
● Ability to work independently
Daily Responsibilities
● Safely driving a 15 passengers van with a tow-trailer filled with camping gear and luggage on a daily basis ● Facilitating group meals and cooking outdoors ● Managing group expenses and budgets, recording receipts, and handling large sums of money responsibly. ● Inspecting and maintaining all equipment and daily inspections of the van and trailer. ● Adhering to federal commercial driving regulations and working hours ● Delivering well researched cultural and historical information on each location visited ● Handling all customer dynamics, satisfaction, requests and complaints

Salary: from 150$ per day

Experience
Tour guiding / tourism related: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
Class 4 Driver's License (required)
First Aid Certification (required)
