About the Role

We are seeking an Engineering Co-op Student (Fall term) to join our team at our Brantford, ON bakery. As an Engineering Co-op, you will support the Project Engineer in driving product development, manufacturing improvements, and facility upgrade initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and production capabilities.

Shift & Schedule

Shift: Morning (Monday- Friday)

Hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM Weekend Availability: Required 

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $27

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll be Doing)

Support engineering and manufacturing improvement projects to enhance production efficiency Develop and update plant layouts and technical drawings using AutoCAD Collaborate on equipment installations and new product start-ups within the facility Contribute to process optimization and line efficiency improvement initiatives Assist in project design, layout planning, and implementation activities Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety standards, and health & safety policies Maintain accurate documentation, SOP adherence, and support continuous improvement efforts

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

Currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering or Engineering Technology Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments Proficiency in AutoCAD Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

Experience in a food manufacturing or industrial environment

Exposure to process improvement or lean manufacturing concepts Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication and teamwork abilities
