About the role
Our client, a group of community organizations working together for the socio-economic development of the Kamouraska region, is currently looking for a passionate development officer to support its members in achieving their goals. You will play a key role in mobilizing local stakeholders and managing projects within the community. You will be responsible for coordinating events, supporting local initiatives, and strengthening the association life with the members. This position involves working closely with non-profit organizations (NPOs) and social economy businesses in the area.

Tasks
- Member engagement: Ensure active participation of members in community development projects.
- Project & event coordination: Plan, coordinate, and deliver community events and initiatives.
- Support to member organizations: Provide guidance and follow-up for ongoing and upcoming projects within Kamouraska’s community organizations.
- Perform any other related tasks as required by the position.

Job requirements
- Possess knowledge and demonstrate an understanding of the community sector, its issues, and the local specificities.
- Experience in project management or the community sector, ideally within nonprofits or social economy organizations.
- Event coordination, member engagement, interpersonal communication, autonomy, and strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of the Kamouraska region or similar rural areas is an asset.
- Ability to work in a hybrid model, with travel across the CDC territory.
