Anticipated start date: July 1, 2026

Qualifications:

• Masters or PhD in Public Health or closely related field (ABD considered if defense is imminent) is required.

• Current certification with the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI), or eligibility for certification, is required.

• Demonstrated or emerging excellence in university level teaching and a strong potential for research productivity is required.

• Ability to contribute to interdisciplinary teaching and research, especially in areas of community health, is required.

• Experience working with community partners, Indigenous communities, or applied public health settings considered an asset.

The first-year teaching assignment is 18 hours per academic year. In addition, the successful candidate must assume academic service duties and will be committed to growing the diversity of and building professional relationships with faculty, staff, students, and the broader community. Additional opportunities for teaching release for research purposes may follow when deemed available.
