About the role
Are you detail-oriented, thorough, and passionate about the world of payroll? Do you take pride in ensuring numbers are accurate and enjoy providing valuable support where your expertise truly makes a difference? If so, this position is for you! Our client, a large manufacturing company specializing in agri-food production, is seeking a Payroll Clerk for a 6-month contract. Working closely with the Controller and the payroll team, you will play a key role in verifying payroll reports, ensuring compliance, and managing group insurance records all while contributing to the smooth functioning of administrative operations.

Tasks
- Verify various payroll reports to ensure data accuracy.
- Analyze group insurance invoices (Desjardins, Cowan) and make necessary adjustments.
- Update and maintain payroll and insurance-related files.
- Support the payroll team during absences or peak workload periods.
- Assist in the analysis of general ledger accounts related to payroll.
- Collaborate on year-end payroll verification activities.
- Perform any other related administrative tasks as required.

Job requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing and verification.
- Excellent knowledge of Quebec payroll standards.
- Proficiency with ADP payroll system (asset).
- Knowledge of group insurance management (Desjardins, Cowan): an asset.
- Spanish: an asset, as most employees are Spanish-speaking.
- Strong ability to work independently, methodically, and accurately.
