About the role
Travel the Chicoutimi region while working directly in the field, at the heart of the action, with hydraulic excavators, bulldozers, and wheel loaders that are globally recognized for their robustness and cutting-edge technology. This road-based role offers autonomy, diverse interventions, and stimulating technical challenges, in an environment where mechanical expertise is highly valued. Main Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on heavy equipment at client sites.
- Identify the source of failures and determine the necessary repairs.
- Assess the required work and estimate the intervention timeframes.
- Plan and carry out repairs on the road autonomously and safely.
- Adjust, repair, or replace defective components according to manufacturer standards.
- Order the necessary parts and follow up on repairs.
- Conduct functional tests after each intervention.
- Perform routine maintenance and some preventive inspections in the field.
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers.
- Strictly follow health and safety regulations.
- Complete technical reports, timesheets, and required documents.
- Perform other related tasks as needed.

Requirements:
- DEP in Heavy Equipment Mechanics or equivalent training combined with relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy equipment or construction machinery mechanics.
- SIMDUT card, forklift, overhead crane.
- Experience with construction or industrial equipment (an asset).
Salary: From $34 to $44.67 per hour depending on experience
Hours: Various schedules based on preference (4x3 – 5x2 – 7x7)
Status: Permanent
