Surveyor
Kamloops, BC Seasonal $37.77/hour
Dawson Civil is seeking a Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will perform field surveys, interpret plans, and create/manage survey files that support our civil construction projects throughout British Columbia.
As a valued member of Dawson Civil, you will work in a Seasonal, full-time Surveyor position reporting to the Survey Manager. Your home base will be either Kamloops, BC or Quesnel, BC , with regular travel throughout the province.

- Always prioritizing the safety of yourself and others
- Conducting field surveys, including construction staking, topographic, design, and volumetric surveys
- Accurately recording measurements and data, preparing field notes, and performing quality control on survey work
- Interpreting plans and completing required calculations
- Creating, organizing, and managing survey files
- Verifying existing survey control and establishing new control as needed
- Researching land records, survey records, and land titles
What You Bring
- Surveying experience, ideally within the civil construction industry
- Proficiency with GPS and total station equipment
- Knowledge of general surveying techniques and equipment (e.g., laser, level)
- Ability to interpret and use information from maps, drawings, and field measurements
- A valid driver’s license
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- A strong commitment to safety
