As a Transporation Coordinator at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. We are seeking an experienced Transportation Coordinator to join our team on 1st shift (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00AM - 5:00PM ). This role is responsible for coordinating and executing both domestic and international shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods while maintaining government compliance with all transportation regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics, carrier management, and documentation processes, with the ability to navigate the complexities of international trade alongside day-to-day domestic operations. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across internal teams, carriers, and customers to ensure a seamless shipping experience from origin to destination.
How you create impact
- Ensure transportation moves are performed according to the client’s requirements and in compliance to Health Care Canada
- Compliance with Kuehne + Nagel’s Quality, Safety, Health, Environmental requirements
- Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines for drugs and health products
- Manage shipment routing
- Carrier coordination & monitoring
- Shipment Confirmation: ensure all deliveries take place within the transit requirements, where required provide pod’s
- Manage shipment discrepancies, including root cause analysis
- Maintenance of Work Instructions (WI) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)WI and SOP’s for account processes
- Ensure data integrity & data quality into the Transportation Management System
- Client Billing: Accurate & timely processing
- Carrier Payment: Accurate & timely processing
- Other duties assigned within the department from time to time
- Know and adhere to the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) including all guidelines and principles
- Act in accordance to the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Work Instructions (WI) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Make sure that all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements are fulfilled by our subcontractors
- Report / document all deviations and be compliant with the guidelines
What we would like you to bring
- College Diploma or equivalent work experience
- 2 years or more relevant operational experience, preferably in a 3rd Party Logistics organization
- Experience with using SAP
- Trained in Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental Pharma Requirements & Health Care Canada requirements
- Understanding of Canadian geography
- Proactive problem solving and coordinating events for exception management, good organizational and prioritizing skills, strong written and verbal and communication skills
